Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A hygienist will clean your teeth during a dental cleaning by removing plaque and tartar through scaling. A hygienist will polish your teeth to make them smooth. Your dentist will apply fluoride treatments and counsel on brushing and flossing appropriately.

To improve dental hygiene in your house, you should brush your teeth twice daily and use fluoride toothpaste; floss your teeth once daily, and always rinse using mouthwash. Besides brushing you should have a balanced diet and reduce the intake of sugary snacks in order to enhance oral health.

Scale cleaning removes the tartar and plaque build-up on your teeth while polishing smoothes out the surface to remove stains. Both of these procedures improve your oral condition and leave your smile bright.

Ask your friends, family, or someone close to you for a recommendation. Check what others say about the place on review websites. Moreover, this dental hygienist must be licensed and experienced enough to do a great job. Also, a pleasant clinic environment with a warm rapport with the hygienist will be important.

On average, a typical dental hygiene appointment lasts between 30 minutes to one hour. However, this can extend up to two hours for more complex cases, such as those involving deep cleaning or other additional treatments.
